“It was a wonderful evening of Christmas music for all to enjoy and really put us in the Festive Mood”

Hollywood Musicals

Join us for an evening of some of Hollywood's greatest tunes from stage and screen, in tribute to Hollywood Legends Mario Lanza, Kathryn Grayson and Gordon Macrae. Includes songs from: The Student Prince, Carousel, Desert Song, Oklahoma, Kiss me Kate, The Great Caruso, Guys and Dolls, Showboat, and The Merry Widow. Additionally, operatic items from La Traviata, La Bohème, Madam Butterfly and more...

"Alexander had the Hollywood operatic sound as exemplified by the late Mario Lanza very well reproduced... James sang strong, sinewy baritone  and created an atmosphere of high quality music presented with skill and flair. "

Concert Recitals

Following the success of Winterreise at Buxton Music Festival and Glossop Music Festival, we enjoy preparing and performing the classical recital repertoire of German lieder, French 'mélodies' and English art song but with an added element. Alexander creates fabulous artwork inspired by the texts and music which is exhibited in the venue and projected as backgrounds for the subtitles, along with other images.  This lends a visual element to the recital that enhances the atmosphere and understanding of these profound and timeless musical masterpieces.

"I particularly liked Anderson-Hall's moving account of ‘Thy rebuke hath broken his heart’." (Lincolnshire Echo)

Opera Galas

These programmes are planned in such a way as to provide a truly wonderful evening’s entertainment for audience and performer alike. The items are chosen from a mixed repertoire of Opera, Viennese Operetta and Song and are presented in a variety of languages with accompanying programme.

"Immediately impressive..."

Burns Night

Or why not brighten up a dreary January and join us in a 'toast to the Haggis' as we celebrate the Scottish Bard on Burn's Night.

Scottish classical and folk tunes, poems and recitations accompanied with guitar, keyboard, percussion and a 'wee dram'...

Get out your kilts, tartans and ghillie brogues, and dance the night away, with eightsome reels, the Dashing White Sergeant, the Duke of Perth and Speed the Plough...
